Van der Valk Hotel Beveren invests in sustainable energy production and purchasing

Scholt Energy and the installer Linea Trovata worked together to set up a solar installation  at Van der Valk Hotel Beveren within six months. The system consists of 430 panels with expected production of 160 MWh per year, comparable to the consumption of 50 households. This means that Van der Valk hotel Beveren is 21% self-sufficient. In addition to the production of solar power, electricity is also produced for the hotel via a heat coupling system. Green electricity is purchased for remaining requirements. By investing in renewable energy, the hotel is working towards its sustainable ambitions, EPB requirements for new buildings and also achieving cost savings.
